Welcome

Who is protecting your pension benefits?

San Diego's "Division 69" members are socially and politically active on behalf of all teachers.  Committee chairs are working hard to enhance and protect your benefits. If you know any current or retired teachers encourage them to join CRTA.  CalRTA can help you retain the "Gold" in the Golden Years.

Angela, I just want to remind you to publicize our day trip for us if possible.  We still have 17 spaces left that must be filled if it is a go.  the trip  is Oct. 21, Wednesday, to Temecula and Oak Glen Village north of Temecula.  We will enjoy a barbeque at the Riley's Apple Farm and a tour.  We will also visit Oak Glen Village.  Day Tripper does the same trip for $89 and we do it for $53.  What a deal ........with so much fun!!!!!  Please give my phone number to anyone and everyone 619 465-7170.

Community Service

Members are encouraged to keep a record of volunteer hours. The deadline for submitting the record to our "Division 69" is March 1, 2009.  Last year "Divsion 69" contributed 74,863 "volunteers service hours" to our nearby schools and educational community.  These retired teacher  "volunteer service hours" add-up to nearly one and half million dollars of volunteer time for our schools and community events.  Thank you retired "Division 69 teachers for volunteering and being such great  role models in our teaching profession and for our "East County" educational community.
